10:30 Simplifying Planning, Building and Operations – despite AI and the Cloud
Too many tools don’t solve problems – they often create new ones.
This masterclass shows why many digitalization initiatives fail before they even truly begin – and how to approach it differently. Alysia shares insights from real client projects and explains how companies make better decisions – not by adding more tools, but by changing their approach.A short impulse for anyone looking to build a more sustainable, simpler and future-ready way of working.
On Day 2, Alysia’s colleague Sarah will lead a supplementary masterclass (Zugspitze) on “Managed Cloud Workstations for Design, Construction, and Operations.” -

10:45 Eden's Garden
From the Garden of Eden to Reality: Why AI Alone Isn’t Enough.
AI alone doesn’t solve problems in construction — without a clean, integrated data foundation, it remains ineffective. With lcmd, you create exactly this operational backbone, connecting planning, execution, and BIM into a seamless, data-driven control layer in real time. The result: higher reliability, earlier risk detection, and true execution intelligence instead of just reporting. -

11:30 Context Changes Everything: Why Future Planning, Construction, and Operations Depend on GIS.
In this talk, Nora Vögele demonstrates why modern construction and infrastructure projects can no longer be managed effectively without spatial context. As data volumes explode and ESG, resilience, and compliance requirements continue to rise, most projects are still missing the one element that reduces risk, cuts costs, and accelerates progress: GIS as the connecting context technology. Through a real project story – from severe rainfall events to digital twins – it becomes clear how reality mapping, BIM–GIS integration, and risk analytics transform gut feeling into reliable, data‑driven decisions. Planning becomes less conflict‑prone, construction processes more transparent, and operations more efficient. This talk is aimed at everyone involved in developing sites, operating assets, or managing construction projects – and addresses the central question: How can we make faster, safer, and more sustainable decisions in an increasingly complex world?

10:30 Rethinking construction processes: Linking digital solutions with innovative and collaborative toolss
The presentation highlights the transformation in the construction industry and demonstrates how digital technologies, innovative tools, and collaborative methods can make construction processes more efficient, transparent, and future-ready. The starting point is the set of challenges such as skilled labor shortages, increasing complexity, and sustainability requirements.
Three key levers are introduced:
Digitalization: The use of BIM for model-based coordination, sensor technology for quality assurance, digital construction platforms (e.g., Fieldwire), and equipment/material management with On!Track enhance transparency and productivity.
Collaborative Tools & Methods: Approaches such as Integrated Project Delivery (IPD), Lean Construction, and Common Data Environments (CDE) foster collaboration, minimize conflicts, and enable a unified data foundation.
Innovative Tools: Prefabrication, exoskeletons, drilling robots (Jaibot), 3D printing, and cobots increase precision, reduce physical strain, and shorten construction times. Finally, a look ahead to the possible future is provided: Automation, AI, digital twins, and image processing are expected to support complex decisions and processes in an automated way – with the ultimate goal of automatically answering the questions “What? Where? How?” in building services installations.

10:45 95% unused data: How radical simplicity finally brings AI to daily construction work.
The construction industry produces vast amounts of information, yet 95% of it remains unused, ending up as "dark data" in isolated Excel sheets, emails, or static PDFs. A one-time data import doesn't solve the problem, as it only creates a momentary snapshot. Without direct, continuous access to these sources, any AI application remains an ineffective gimmick.
In this masterclass, we will show you the strategic path from data chaos to digital sovereignty.
Step 1: Order Through Reduction
We put an end to "interface hell." Instead of bloating the IT landscape with ever-new specialized applications, you will learn how to connect your existing core systems (ERP, calculation, billing) to create a central data foundation. Using a practical example, we will show you how this radical consolidation saves massive licensing costs and lays the groundwork for genuine AI support.Step 2: Effectiveness Through Radical Simplicity
Software on the construction site often fails due to its complexity. We will show you how to lower the barriers for users to the point where the on-site team genuinely enjoys using the tools. Because only through high adoption can you generate the high-quality data that an AI needs to work. Experience live how AI agents, acting as digital assistants, relieve your employees in tasks like schedule analysis or claim management—not as a complicated add-on, but as a natural part of their daily work.Your Benefit: You will take home a clear strategy on how to turn IT costs into project success and bring innovation where it's truly needed—honest, understandable, and effective.

12:00 Turbo-Charging Design – AI as a Tool for Faster Thinking, Not Better Answers
Artificial intelligence is fundamentally accelerating the design process – not by providing better answers, but by allowing us to think faster. More precisely: to iterate, test, and make ideas visible in a fraction of the time. In this context, AI becomes a new tool in the design process – a catalyst for exploration rather than decision-making. It expands the field of possibilities while simultaneously reframing questions of quality, precision, and control. Using concrete examples from the practice of JASPER ARCHITECTS, we will demonstrate how AI is applied in design today: as a tool to reduce repetitive tasks, unlock new directions, and accelerate the creative process. At the same time, it addresses the challenges involved – the ambiguity of results, the risk of arbitrariness, and the growing importance of prompting as a new discipline to be mastered. AI expands the field - intent remains with us.

12:15 Forget Gut Feeling – ai Is Now Co-Piloting Our Projects.
In this Masterclass at the Construction Summit Hamburg 2026, Rouven Starcke, Managing Director of ai Consult GmbH, demonstrates how data-driven project controlling and AI-supported processes are fundamentally transforming the management of complex infrastructure projects. Starting from the structural challenges facing the construction industry — skilled labor shortages, cost pressure, and stagnating labor productivity — he introduces SmartTrack: a modular, automated platform delivering real-time transparency in project management. Drawing on real project time tracking data, the presentation shows how AI applications can reduce workload in key areas such as meetings, documentation, and meeting minutes by up to 70%, while simultaneously improving quality. The current development: an individual "Project ai Platform" built on SmartTrack as its foundation, unlocking the full potential of intelligent project control across all areas of project management.
