Günter Wenzel has been a research associate at Fraunhofer IAO in Stuttgart since 2001, where he heads the "Building Culture Innovation" team. Since completing his architecture studies in Stuttgart, he has been working on information and communication technologies in the life cycle of our built environment. He is currently working on the following topics, among others: "Virtual Techniques in Citizen Participation", "Connecting Immersive Communication Technologies to BIM, GIS and FM Systems" and with studies for the construction and real estate industry on the "sustainable transformation of building". He is co-founder of the BIM-Cluster Baden-Württemberg e.V. and member of the board.
