Christina Wendland is Head of Sustainability at Art-Invest Real Estate Management, responsible for the development and implementation of comprehensive sustainability strategies across the entire real estate lifecycle – from project development and construction to asset management.
With over twelve years at the company, she combines deep technical expertise with real estate economics and regulatory know-how. After studying Industrial Engineering with a focus on Construction at RWTH Aachen, she began her career as a technical project manager, overseeing complex new-build and refurbishment projects.
Building on this operational experience, she has expanded her profile with sustainability- and capital-market-oriented qualifications, including as a Diplom-Immobilienökonomin (ADI), Sustainable Real Estate Manager (IRE|BS), and DGNB ESG Manager. For several years, she has been driving the company-wide integration of ESG criteria into investment, development, and portfolio strategies, aligning regulatory requirements with practical financial implementation.
In addition to her professional role, Christina Wendland serves as a guest lecturer at multiple universities and actively contributes her expertise to industry networks and professional committees.
