Dipl.-Ing. Wiebke Ahues
LXSY ARCHITEKTUR
Wiebke Ahues is an architect and partner at LXSY Architekten in Berlin. After studying architecture at the University of Dortmund and the Technische Universität Dresden, she took on project and office leadership roles at renowned practices – including Max Dudler, David Chipperfield and Henning Larsen – where she was responsible for high-profile international projects and competitions. Her understanding of architecture is holistic and circular: building for the future means, to her, working with what already exists or can be grown. LXSY puts this approach into practice and actively advocates for the transformation towards a climate-responsive construction industry. As Vice President of the Federal Chamber of German Architects and the Berlin Chamber of Architects, Wiebke Ahues shapes the professional and political discourse. She chairs the BAK Sustainability Committee and the DIN Coordination Committee on Sustainability, and regularly shares her expertise through lectures and publications. In 2021 she was appointed a member of the BDA Berlin.
