Andrea Soyka is an urban planner and has been managing director of steg Hamburg mbH since 2021. With over 30 years of professional experience in process and project management in urban development, in urban economics research projects at the HafenCity University in Hamburg and responsibility in planning offices, she brings a wide range of perspectives. Andrea is passionate about making neighborhoods worth living in and highlights the neighborhood perspective as an important solution to current challenges such as the mobility transition, climate change and the high pressure on land. In this context, she emphasizes the importance of social infrastructure for the quality of life and considers the return of production and work to the city to be an important aspect of the overall structure. For her, mobility hubs are more than neighborhood garages, namely multifunctional urban building blocks for the city of the future. In the current transformation, she believes it is particularly important to focus on the E and G in ESG.
