Christian Richert worked for 15 years as a structural engineer in the project business at IDK Kleinjohann in Cologne. Since 2020, he has been managing director of EDD as a holding company of the German engineering offices IDK, WSK Ingenieure and the foreign office branch ConTec. In addition to company-wide responsibility for standardisation, quality management and innovation, EDD operates as a boutique consultant for digital strategy, sustainable planning approaches and industry development.
