Lisa Lenz

Dr.-Ing. Lisa Lenz is founder and managing director of the start-ups Building Information Management GLW GmbH (BIM-GLW) and the EXIST research transfer-funded Building Information Cloud GLWG GmbH (BIC).
Formerly, she worked in the construction industry for several years and completed her PhD at TU Dortmund University at the Chair of Construction Management as part of the DFG Research Training Group 2193 "Adaptation Intelligence of Factories in a Dynamic and Complex Environment".
As an expert in digitalization in the construction industry, Dr. Lenz offers consulting services related to the BIM method, such as overall BIM coordination or the introduction of BIM in companies, with the BIM-GLW. BIC, on the other hand, provides its customers a software-as-a-service solution that automatically checks construction planning results on the basis of AI models. Dr. Lenz is also a member of the VDI 2552 guidelines committee and spokesperson for the buildingSMART open-BIM in factory planning specialist group and the Northern Bavaria regional group.
She has published numerous articles focusing on digitalization in the construction industry and its potential in relation to construction processes and in the context of factory planning.
